To Club and Members, I/we promise that I/we will; · accurately represent myself in the capacity as a participant* to the sport water polo. · accurately represent my skills and only offer those services in which I am (professionally) competent to deliver. · deliver clinics, workshops, training, to the best standards possible and adjusted to the needs identified for the target group and delivery of such. · help, support, voluntary or paid in a matter that is safe, secure and trusted as well as adequate to perform duties to support and grow the sport water polo. · accurately represent my capacities of organising water polo events, clinics, tournaments and all other promotions in order to grow the sport. · conduct training, coaching and water polo performances as a staff member in the best way possible. · accurately represent my capacities of in all marketing, advertising and promotional materials. · inform participants of any conditions that arise that could limit effectiveness. · place your best interests first and foremost, making reasonably certain that I have the necessary skills and resources to provide the support needed. · clearly communicate the terms and conditions of events to grow the sport, identifying the responsibilities of all parties, and documenting these provisions if wished or needed. · honor my/our (coaching/player) contracts, agreements and commitments. · do what I/we say I/we will and only make commitments that are within my power and abilities to deliver. · maintain the highest level of professionalism, and refrain from misrepresenting any authority entrusted to me/us. · safeguard and protect any private and confidential information and make sure events and promotions for the sport water polo are up to the best standards possible. · safeguard and protect any participants in the best possible way as a player/coach and/or staff member. This include training, events, promotions, but also use of video equipment and social media. · not release any of your information to any party whatsoever unless you give me/us explicit instruction or consent to do so. · ensure that electronic and hardcopy record disposal is handled in a confidential and secure manner. · do my/our utmost to protect your interests and reputation by conducting myself/ourselves as a professional ambassador(s) and representative(s) of the sport water polo. · take pride in the quality of my work. Accepting (shared) responsibility for the work I/we do, admit mistakes (if any) and do my/our part to rectify any problems that arise.
To all participants (eg. Team mates and Opponents) I/we will; · make every effort to exercise in a respectful and expected manner in regards to fair play and 'play with respect' and/or similar eg. 'play by the rules'. · not intentionally partake in any activity, especially libel or slander, that could damage the (professional) reputation of a participant. · not engage in unfair water polo practices, including the effort to stay doping free. · be sure to always give credit to those I have learned from and who have generously shared their knowledge with me/us. · be accepting of others’ opinions, values and beliefs and acknowledge they are as valid as my/our own. · conduct events, clinics and trainings in the best possible way organised, with a clear expectation towards them. · be honest in the execution of training as an individual and in a team. Listening to ideas to grow the sport without putting own ideas first. · cooperate with an open and growth mindset when it comes to training, clinics and events, knowing that each can grow the sport water polo and should have positive outcomes for all involved.
To the Association and Water Polo Body, I/we promise that I/we will; · exercise and uphold the highest ideals of integrity, competence and professionalism in water polo, in the training, clinics and events that I/we executed or be a part of. · utilise my/our knowledge and abilities to strengthen public awareness and understanding of the sport water polo. · not engage in any activity or practice that would bring the sport water polo into disrepute. · diligently exercise truth, honesty and integrity in all areas relating to my responsibilities in any role in water polo. · not engage in nor condone any illegal or unethical practices in the sport water polo. · maintain professional competence, and continue to expand my professional knowledge and technical skills for the better of the sport water polo. · know and respect existing laws pertaining to professional work and business, and always strive to keep abreast of such things as it is my/our duty as responsible participant in any form of the sport. · be honest and accurate about my credentials, and not exaggerate, embellish or fabricate my history or competencies.
To Myself/Ourselves, I/we promise that I/we will; · do everything in my/our power to honor my/our value and worth as a water polo participant. · participate with enjoyment of the sport, enabling me to succeed what I/we want to achieve. · always do my/our best in my capacity, as doing my/our best not only benefits other participants in the sport, it gives me/us confidence, satisfaction and self-worth. · participate only with people who are likeminded in the sport. I/we want to treat other participants as I/we would like to be treated. When I/we work or participate with those who value and appreciate my/our skills and expertise (and the service) I/we provide, the positivity our relationship creates for one another also makes the world a better place. · strive to do good as I/we do well.
